‘Bowling For Boobies’ in Missoula Was a Striking Success
Anytime you can get 40+ teams signed up for a bowling tournament to help out a local family in our community is a success. That is exactly what took place over this past weekend as the Shock N Awe Softball team here in Missoula came together to put on the fundraiser. All proceeds from the tournament went to the Hendrix family in memory of John 'Porky' Hendrix.
On top of the really delicious taco bar that was provided to all tournament participants, each team was bowling two games. At the end of the two games there were two brackets set up for those who were really bowling well. My wife Savannah and I were lucky enough to be one of those teams, although our team was quickly removed from the tournament as our first round in the bracket was against a couple very good bowlers from here in Missoula.
The winners in the Pink bracket this year were Holly Olson & John Shellman, and for the Blue bracket it was Ryan Paint & Jeremy Thompson! With this being my first bowling tournament ever, it was so much fun, and even better that we could raise money for the Hendrix family.
I want to give a big thank you to the captains of the Shock N Awe Softball team Rj McCollom, Dusty St John, Mike Rodgers, and Kris Bratlien. Since I had so much fun 'bowling for boobies' I know I will be signing up for the next event they have planned.
