Billed For Birthday Party Child Didn’t Attend

You said you were coming so here's the bill. I think we've all experienced the nerve of some parents. No show? No matter. At least that's the attitude of a mother who sent a "no-show" bill home to the parents of a five-year-old, who failed to show up for her kid's birthday party.

Derek Nash of London got a bill seeking about $24 dollars because his son Alex had not attended the birthday party of Julie Lawrence's son. Yes, Mr. Nash did RSVP that his son would be there, forgetting about a previous engagement Alex had to visit his grandparents. And no, he did not get back to her to cancel, claiming he didn't have contact info.

Ms. Lawrence says the contact details were on the invitation and has threatened Nash with small claims court. Mr. Nash says he ain't gonna pay.

Wow. Hopefully that mom's kid is young enough that he doesn't really grasp the embarrassment she could be causing him.
