Biggest Summer Blockbuster in the Last 40 Plus Years

Summer is known for big movies opening but one movie is considered the biggest summer blockbuster and therefore is the biggest.

Some notable ones are 'Grease' in 1978, 'Ghostbusters' in the 80's, ' The Lion King' in the 90's and 'Toy Story' in the new millennium. There is one though that is the original summer blockbuster and it was released in the 70's. It's when big time movies started to plan the times they released the movie.

in 1975 they released the scary motion picture of 'Jaws' and the day before summer June 20th 1975 began the movement of summer blockbusters. According to newsday.com, "Thus, the summer blockbuster was born".

I have never seen Jaws and I think at this point it would seem so corny because of the advancement in technology and picture.
