Good luck and speedy recovery for local coach undergoing treatment for leukemia.

Missoula Big Sky boys' basketball coach Josh Laslovich has resigned after eight seasons because he is undergoing treatment for a relapse of leukemia.

Athletics director Brian Fortmann announced Laslovich's resignation on Wednesday.

Laslovich led the Eagles to a 64-93 record over the past eight seasons, taking the team to the state tournament four times.

Laslovich was first diagnosed with leukemia in August 2006. He is undergoing chemotherapy and then faces a bone marrow transplant.

He will continue to teach English at Big Sky as his treatments allow.
