Beginners Bike Riding

Some folks are just too busy or not skilled enough to teach their kid how to ride a bike.  I've heard of people hiring professional bike riding counselors to school their kids. There's a place in Vancouver B.C., Pedalheads, that says their business is booming because parents don't have the time or have the skills. Bike New York offers classes in city parks, summer camps, and after-school programs. I think this is a great idea, the kids learn all the right things about riding bikes.

I taught my daughter how to ride her bike. I'll never forget her pedaling shakily off down the dead end street we lived on at the time. The first thought that went through my head was, " there's another step on the way to her independence."
