Beast of a Brown Trout Caught on the Bitterroot
Another day on the river and let's just say I needed it for sure. So my friend and I took a trip to the root. The Bitterroot is actually fishing decent. Fall fishing is the best and a beast of a brown trout was caught.
The fishing report was good for nymphs and streamers but we actually saw some bugs on the water and I think a dry fly in better conditions it would be fine on a sunnier day there. Luckily we got a light rain earlier which made the fish more frisky.
I initially caught the first fish, a nice Rainbow and I was trying to get it in and get a picture and when it got close it snapped off... but then the best came out of the water! I was so happy to be there for this. I was the net girl.
This beautiful Brown Trout took a Rock Creek wonderbugger from Rock Creek Mercentile.
