Bear Locks Itself in Car

Somehow they can get in, but they just can't get out. Associated Press tells us that for the third time in two weeks, a bear has found itself trapped in a vehicle in Truckee, Calif. Police had to come to the rescue after the bear locked itself in the SUV. They had to break out a window and eventually it crawled out and ran away.

Authorities remind us that bears can figure out how to open vehicle doors, so unless you want to leave instructions posted on how to get back out, you might want to lock up if you're going into the woods. Maybe it's only a California bear thing. Maybe Montana bears can get in AND out. :-) DB
