Was justice as blind as a bat? Probably not. But bats did have their day in court. Associated Press tells us about the scary experience people in a DeQueen, Arkansas, courtroom had when 30 bats flew in during a trial. There was ducking, screaming and swooping. And one bat tried to bite a deputy after he caught it and held it by the wings for photo ops.

Hundred of bats live in the at the Sevier County Courthouse and excrement is everywhere.  Hundreds of them roost in an elevator shaft.

I'm sure there's a bad joke about blood-sucking creatures that inhabit courtrooms (sorry attorneys, couldn't resist). And I'm not sure why it's taken so long to bring in a pest control expert to propose solutions, but at least that's happening now. I guess the jury's out on what to do. And they don't want to come back in, either!!!!  DB
