Just about every one of us knows someone who has gone to ND to work in the oil fields. It looks like they’ll be over there for longer than they originally thought. The folks in ND got some good news yesterday.  A U.S. Geological Survey has determined that there are approximately 7.4 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil, more than twice the previous estimate in the Williston Basin. The report also estimates there to be 0.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. It's the largest unconventional oil resource the USGS has ever assessed.  It sure means a lot of much needed work for a lot of people but I do know it’s putting a real strain on the infrastructure. Maybe the higher amount of reserves will give the state time to catch up.
