I managed to get a little healthier in 2013 than I was in 2012. I didn’t make any drastic changes because I knew I couldn’t stick with them. Instead, I chose to change one small thing at a time to slowly make some changes toward a healthier lifestyle
If there is one thing my house full of little carnivores love, it’s pig. They love everything from ham shanks and bacon to ribs and sausage. No matter what cut of pig we seem to have, or how it is seasoned, the boys in my house love it. So, when I came across this recipe that was a bit of a twist on traditional pulled pork sandwich, I just had to try it.
I’m going to begin by saying that I dearly love my family. Doesn’t everyone love their families? There is nothing better than getting together for holidays and spending time with the people you love, but rarely get to see.
Last year was the first time I made New Year’s resolutions. I managed to keep one of the resolutions I made. I’m hoping this year that I will be able to keep them all, but I know that usually doesn’t happen.
Have you ever been annoyed by someone else’s cellphone conversation in public? Who hasn’t? Of course, I’m sure that I’ve been the one annoying someone else with my conversation too. Pretty much everyone is guilty of this, aren’t they?
I’ve never seen a commercial that perfectly describes parenthood like this one does. In a short 60 seconds it manages to capture the essence of daily life for parents. Somehow it manages to embody the joys, frustrations, sleeplessness, clutter, pain, dog-food eating and chaos that is parenting.
Do you have that family member or friend who sends out a three page Christmas letter detailing everything wonderful their family has done in the year? I think everyone knows someone like that don’t they? I would love to be one of those people. However, all I seem to be able to do is get a family photo out by the second or third of January.
My parents came over for dinner this past weekend and my mom brought this amazing bread. It was delicious, buttery and beer flavored. Does it really get any better than that? I’m not even a big beer fan, but this bread was good. It was also super easy to make too.
I have seen this little wintery treat all over Pinterest lately. I have wanted to try it, but haven’t been able to find a pin that actually contained a recipe with it. So, I gathered up what ingredients I thought I would need to make the Oreo snowmen pops and went for it.
There is a lot of baking that goes on in my house during the Christmas season. Whether it is with the kids, by myself, with family members or with friends, baking is a great way to enjoy the holidays. Not only is making these holiday goodies fun, it is also satisfying. For your belly that is.
I was chatting with my sister the other day and she was raving about how delicious and how easy it was to bake cauliflower. She was telling me how much her kids loved it. She usually has a hard time (like most of us parents do) getting her kids to eat their vegetables. Apparently my sister’s kids love cauliflower baked like this so much that they eat it like popcorn.
