I recently found the perfect St. Patrick’s Day dessert while perusing Pinterest. I can’t wait to give it a try this year. It combines the best of both Worlds, chocolate and beer. If that’s not enough, the frosting
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, I’ve been in the green mood. I had already made a New Year’s resolution to start eating healthier. So, I thought it would be really fun if I could combine these two things. I was al
If you haven’t planned your St. Patty’s Day meal yet, don’t worry there is still time. I’ve found a very easy crockpot corned beef and cabbage recipe. All you have to do is throw the ingredients in the crockpot St. Patty’s Day morning and it will be ready when you get home at night from all the holiday’s festivities.
We Missoulians all love this beautiful city we feel lucky enough to call home. We know we are unique and we are proud of it. From being one of the top five greenest places to live, to being just a few short miles away from four ski resorts, to being known as a city for inspiring entrepreneurs, Missoula has it.
Easter is just around the corner, and who doesn’t love Easter candy? I love Easter candy. I think it is better than candy at any other holiday. My favorite Easter candy is Cadbury Mini Eggs. They have a crunchy thin outer shell and rich creamy chocolate inside
If you have a child that is 11 years of age or older, they are eligible to take the hunter education course that is required by the state in order to purchase a hunting license. It was report time card last week at my boys’ school. This usually goes pretty well in our house, since two of my boys still are in the grade levels that hand out S, S+, S- and N. My oldest son, however, has been in a grade for the past couple years that doles out A, B, C, D and F.
I just gave you a recipe for making cookie dough that is safe to eat, so I thought I would give you a recipe where you have to bake the cookies. I know this is no chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it is a cookie recipe that contains one of my favorite foods, Nutella.
I grew up eating homemade chocolate chip cookies at least once a week. They were a staple in our house. There was nothing quite like the smell of cookies baking when I came home from school. Although piping hot chocolate chip cookies are very tempting, I enjoyed the cookies much more before they were cooked. Chocolate chip cookie dough is quite possibly the best raw food ever.
So last year my husband really got into gardening. He built himself a nice big garden with raised beds and six foot high fences to keep the deer out. He probably had 300 tomatoes come out of his garden, along with a few other vegetables. The garden was a great success and he is already itching to turn his thumb green this year. I caught him scouring gardening websites last night, looking for just the right foods to plant and when to plant them.
Who doesn’t love s’mores? They just scream campfires and warm summer nights. Sadly, those warm summer nights are a long ways off, so it’s a little hard to make those s’mores. Luckily, I have run across this easy s’mores candy bar recipe which can be made any time of the year. Yes, it is a little bit more complicated than actually making s’mores over the campfire, but it is still very good and a great substitute for the open flame original.
Does anyone else live in a house filled with dead animals? I’m sure that I can’t be the only one, given the fact that hunting and fishing are ways of life around here. In my kitchen alone there is an elk head, a moose head, 15 deer shed and a pot rack made from elk sheds. My living room is even worse, consisting of two antelope heads, three elk sheds, a duck, two deer heads, two fox hides, four sets of matching deer sheds, a wolf skull and a wolf hide.
