There are so many things to do with your day off this Fourth of July that it can be hard to decide what to choose. To help pick what to do with your extra day off, we’ve compiled a list of fun things and events to do this Independence Day. There is a little something for everyone, from movies and food, to beer and fireworks.
Just in case everyone in Missoula hasn’t heard yet, my husband drew a mountain goat tag. I’m not sure how there could possibly be anyone left in this town who hasn’t heard, as he has been on the phone nonstop since he found out.
If you are like pretty much everyone in America, you will be spending the fourth with family and/or friends. It’s just one of those holidays that screams backyard get-together. I myself will be enjoying a fun-filled fourth with the ones I love and am planning on bringing a couple of these delicious ideas for the party
I have been hearing people talk about the Paleo diet. I didn’t know what it was, so I finally got curious enough and looked it up. The Paleo diet is eating only natural foods that cavemen, or paleolithic men, would have ate. The main foods eaten with this diet are eggs, fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts and game meat.
I was given a rhubarb plant a few years ago by my mother. The first year I had it it did not produce much fruit, but over the past couple of years, I have gradually been able to harvest some rhubarb. This year, my rhubarb crop seems to be quite exceptional. I have already cut and chopped up enough rhubarb to make a batch of jam and June has just begun.
Is anyone else sick of construction season yet? I know it just started, but I’m already over it. I have a feeling I’m going to end up with a severe case of road rage if I don’t figure out how to deal with slow moving vehicles and cones everywhere I go. Here are the ideas I’ve come up with to help keep me sane during construction season in Montana.
It never ceases to amaze me the things that are for sale on Craigslist. I enjoy seeing the items that people think they can sell. I’m sure we would all be surprised at what does sell. One of these days, when I have spare time on my hands, I’m going to see what crazy stuff I can sell. Here are a few crazy things I’ve found on Craigslist this week.
Have you ever fallen asleep at work? If you haven’t, I’m sure there have been days that you wanted to. Days when it seemed it took all your strength and stamina just to keep your eyes open? One German bank teller gave in to his sleep craving and nodded off during work.
I’m a coffee lover. Most of the time I enjoy my coffee hot, but on hot spring or summer days, the last thing I want is a hot drink. So in order to satisfy my coffee craving without having to endure the heat, I often mix up a cold version of my favorite coffee drink.
Between Missoula and the Idaho border sits a fisherman’s paradise, the Bonanza Lakes. These more than 40 lakes are nestled in the northern Bitterroot mountain range and are just waiting for you to explore them. Grab your hiking gear, tent and fishing pole, and head west to any one of these lakes for a great weekend escape or week long camping excursion. These lakes are a great getaway for those who want to enjoy nature.
With wedding season comes lots of gift buying. How do you know what to get. Before I was married I would have answered that differently then I do now. After receiving wedding gifts that I have never used or just re-gifted, I am able to compile a list of the worst wedding gifts to give the lucky couple.
What do dads really want for Father’s Day? Not being a dad myself, I find it hard to know what to give my husband every year around this time. I spend days ruminating on what the perfect gift is. Usually the answer I come to is an okay gift, but not perfect.
