I am a big Nutella fan. It is just the right mix of hazelnut and chocolate in a delicious creamy spread. My kids love to eat it on plain bread or with jam. It’s a great substitute for peanut butter. I like to use it instead of peanut butter in recipes. Just make sure that the recipe you’re using it in calls for creamy peanut butter and not crunchy.
I’m one of those people who loves cooking. I love cooking with recipes that call for cans of soup because they seem to make the recipes quicker and easier. However, I hate how expensive soup is now. I can remember a time when soup was 50 cents per can. Now you’re lucky to find it on sale for a dollar a can. So, when I ran across a recipe that allows me to make cream of anything soup for just a few cents. I was excited.
Just because the weather gets a little colder soon, doesn’t mean that Missoula and Western Montana close the blinds and hibernate for the winter. In fact, the opposite is true. There is just as much to enjoy about our fair city when the snow flies, as when the sun shines 20 hours a day
Living in Missoula and being surrounded by some of the finest breweries, we are spoiled with a variety of beer. It’s safe to say that we know good beer when we taste it. Besides just brewing great beer, we are also known for creatively naming our beer too
This spring I dove head first into backyard chicken farming. I purchased seven laying hens and 16 chicks. I was off and running, and a little overwhelmed, but happy. Twelve of my chicks were to be eaten and four were to one day become laying hens.
The zucchini plants in my garden have been spitting out zucchinis like crazy. There’s only so much raw zucchini, barbecued zucchini and fried zucchini that I can eat. I had to find something else to do with the stacks of zucchini that were piling up. So, I did what any woman does when she needs a new recipe, I looked on Pinterest and this is what I found. It’s a delicious chocolatey zucchini bread, a little bit of dessert and a little bit of snack.
There are still a few days before school starts and I’m trying to make the best of them. I love school and the normalcy it brings to our life with a set schedule. However, my kids aren’t quite as excited for school to start as I am
I’ve often wondered if I’m the only mother who feels like they are constantly ordering their kids to do this and that and everything. I feel like from the time I get them up in the morning, until they go to bed at night, that I am constantly trying to make sure they are doing what they need to be doing, or not doing what they shouldn’t be doing.
With back-to-school time here, we’re all trying to get the last bit of rest and relaxation in before the chaos starts. What better way to do this than to enjoy the great places and things that our town has to offer? Here’s a list of some of the must-go-to and must-see places right in our own backyard.
With all the 90 degree weather we have been enduring in the past month or so, I have been longing for a nice long Montana autumn. Autumn is my favorite season and I can’t wait for it to be here. Here are my
