When my husband and I were first married, I made chicken alfredo at least once a week. It was one of those few things that I could cook at the time. Since then, my recipe reprituar has grown immensely. I’m not afraid to try cooking new things, so the old chicken alfredo got put on the back burner.
My oldest brother has become famous the past few Christmases for making almond roca. It was something that my mother always used to make when we were kids, but hadn’t made in a long time and my brother resurrected it. Along with bringing back the almond roca, my brother has become famous for making holiday mulled red wine.
I’m kind of choosy when it comes to the sports I watch. I don’t like to waste my time watching endless hours of sports. I would much rather play them than watch. Even though I don’t watch a ton of sports, I still know a few famous, or once famous players. Recently Foot Locker created an ad that featured some once famous athletes that I found to be pretty funny.
My mother is famous for her homemade gravy. She only makes it during the holidays, or when we have big family get-togethers. She gave me the recipe years ago, but I lost it after burning a pan of clumpy gravy. Now that I have a few years of cooking under my belt, I feel more confident in my cooking skills.
A Colorado anchorman recently went on a humorous rant about the number of snow covered patio pictures he was receiving from viewers. He pleaded with his audience that they could do better than this. He told them that taking pictures of snow covered patio furniture was the easy way out. He begged them to send him pictures of their beautiful state, and not of people’s back decks.
My mom has been reading up on steel cut oats recently, and was bragging to me about how healthy they are. She was also telling me how to cook them. This involved boiling the water, adding the oats, boiling the oats for 20 to 30 minutes and then letting the oats sit for a few minutes before eating.
If you loved Kmart’s infamous ship my pants and big gas savings commercials, then you’ll enjoy their new Joe Boxer commercial. The ad begins innocently enough with six young, attractive, men dressed in suits standing behind a table playing Jingle Bells with some very large bells.
My husband and 12-year-old have been walking all over the hills west of Missoula looking for a buck. The past few weeks of constant searching only to turn up nothing was really getting to my preteen. This is the first year he is old enough to hunt.
Lasagna is one of those dinners I love to eat, but hate to cook. It is definitely a weekend dinner. The noodles have to be boiled before you can even start putting the lasagna together. Then you have make layers upon layers of noodles, a cheese mixture and a tomato and burger mixture.
