It’s that time of year again. The time of year when TV networks reveal their new shows. Most of my favorite shows are on cable, not on network TV. However, there are a few great new shows on network TV this season. I love comedies and have been a huge “Law and Order” and “CSI” fan for years. It should come as no surprise that my favorite new shows are a comedy and two drama, law and mystery shows. Give one or all of these a try. You might find something you just can’t wait a week to watch again.
If this isn’t the perfect marriage of two amazingly delicious foods, then I don’t know what is. I mean, how could it get much better than donuts and pumpkin pie? Could there be a better fall breakfast? I think not. I love having donuts with coffee in the morning. Of course, I don’t eat them every morning, but on the weekends it’s a nice treat.
I’m not a huge Halloween fan. I don’t like all the spooky and gory stuff that goes with it. However, I do love the candy and cute little kid costumes. I have kids, so I can’t very well ignore Halloween. My kids, like all kids, love candy and love dressing up. Since Halloween comes around just one day out of the year, I can put up with the stuff I don’t like to make my kids happy.
No matter where you’re from, if you’re in the great state of Montana right now, you know it’s archery season. You can’t drive through any town without seeing a bow hanging up in the back windshield of most trucks that pass by.
With Halloween fast approaching and fall in full swing, I’m trying to share my last few pumpkin recipes. This is one of my favorites. It is very easy and delicious. I love it with coffee, my mom loves it with tea, and my boys love it with milk. It pretty much goes with anything.
About half way through summer vacation every year I begin to crave the schedule and the normalcy that the school year brings. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the carefree days of summer I do. It’s just that I run out of things to do with all those footloose and fancy free days, and look forward to the ease of a scheduled daily routine. At least I think I do at the time.
Everyone loves bears. From Yogi and Balloo, to Paddington and Fozzy, and the Carebears and Winnie the Pooh, we humans have a craving for bears that we can’t seem to satisfy. I’m not sure if it’s their fuzzy wuzzy hair, their cute round ears or their nubby little tails that make them absolutely irresistible. Perhaps it’s a combination of all three.
My boys love buffalo chicken wings. However, I’m not a huge chicken wing fan. They always seem too greasy to me. So, when I ran across this crockpot recipe for buffalo chicken I was very excited. It mixes the ease of crockpot cooking with my kids’ favorite food.
For the past seven years my husband has paid to put me in the drawing for a big horn sheep tag. The first year he put me in for the drawing, he thought I was a shoe-in. I should have been, because way back then the difference between the number of applicants and the number of tags given out was less than five. He was sure I would draw it, but sadly I didn’t.
I absolutely love chicken and dumplings, especially on a chili fall evening in Montana. There is nothing quite like hot soup to help thaw out your bones after a long cold day. This recipe is a great one for doing just that.
With the weather changing and fall upon, cold season is in full swing. Everyone in my household is sporting a cold right now. Colds do a good job of making us feel miserable. I will do or eat anything I can that helps to ward off a cold.
This recipe mixes two of my favorite foods in the world. It is a delicious medley of pumpkin pie and French toast. The great thing about it is that you can eat it like pumpkin pie with some whipped cream or eat it like French toast with butter and syrup.
