The president of the Detroit NAACP is defending the branch's decision to honor Kid Rock at their annual fundraiser. The Reverend Wendell Anthony says Kid Rock is not a racist, even though he uses the Confederate flag during performances. But a political consultant named Adolph Mongo says the flag is a symbol of hatred and racism.

Unit III and IV Inter Valley Wrestling Tourney
The Western Montana Little Guy Wrestling Unit III and IV Inter Valley Wrestling Tournament was held Saturday at Frenchtown High School. Wrestlers competed for a qualifying spot for the Western State Competition. The top eight wrestlers in each weight and bracket moved on. Bonner School took home third place in the small school category. Unit I and II was held Saturday in Libby.
