U.S. astronaut Scott Kelly is including Montana State University in Bozeman for his speaking tour next year. Kelly, who spent a year in space, will speak at the University April 4th, hosted by the MSU Leadership Institute. Further details will be announced later.

Kelly will talk about his space travel, along with lessons he's learned about leadership, discovery and perseverance. He has produced two books, "Endurance: My Year in Space and Our Journey to Mars" and a space photo collection called "Infinite Wonder," which is being published next month. His year-long mission was March 2015 to March 2016 and one purpose was to see how microgravity affects the body. An added bonus to the study was the fact that he has an identical twin, Mark, who recently retired from NASA. Scientists compared the two men for that year in space to see what the differences might be between similar humans - one earthbound and the other in Earth orbit.

Tickets and sponsorship information will be offered in January, according to Carmen McSpadden, director of the Leadership Institute. By the way, if you have a kid who is "nuts" about space things, bring her or him to the Ravalli County Museum in Hamilton Saturday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to Noon, for a science activity concerning the Milky Way galaxy.
