Assault on Peace Officer – Selling Fake Drugs – Armed Robbery all on Missoula Justice Court Docket Monday [DOCUMENTS]

Missoula Justice Court Judge John Odlin began the month of April by seeing several individuals face a variety of charges via video from the county Jail.

Michael Scott Burke, 31, of Spokane, Washington was apprehended Friday night after allegedly robbing the Walgreen's Drug Store on Brooks Street at gunpoint. He was charged with armed robbery, criminal endangerment, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs, all felonies. His bail was set at $150,000.

Also appearing Monday afternoon was Eric Van Zomeran, who was charged with felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanor criminal trespassing. Court documents indicate that Van Zomeran, 52, was harassing customers outside the Walmart store on Brooks on Easter Sunday. Missoula police officer Cammi Fiscus approached the suspect and told him he needed to leave the property. When he refused, officer Fiscus grabbed his arm to lead him away. Van Zomeran then struck officer Fiscus on the right side of her head and face with his elbow. His bail was set at $10,000.

Tiffany Johnson and Joseph Nelson were charged with criminal possession of imitation dangerous drugs and criminal manufacture of imitation dangerous drugs, both felonies. Court documents indicate that Johnson, 18 and Nelson, 21, were in a vehicle behind the Super Walmart on Mullan Road early Sunday morning, when Missoula County Sheriff's Deputy Jared Cochran approached the vehicle. The two had apparently been mixing sea salt with super glue and putting the mixture into baggies to sell, pretending it was methamphetamine. Both were arrested and placed in the Missoula County Jail. Bail was set for each at $5,000.
