How many of you parents have put up the money for your kids to run a business?  Lots of hands in the air, I'm sure.

Of course, they get to keep all the profits (at least they assume they do). But hopefully they at least gain a little life experience in the world of commerce.

We're talking kids' lemonade stands of course! As American as apple pie and the Fourth of July! But the state of Louisiana wanted a piece of the action and it literally took an act of Congress to get their hands off the squeezins'!

Lawmakers passed legislation that prevents minors from having to pay an "occupational license tax." It came down to this because some little kids were ticketed for not having a license to sell their lemonade.

Both the Louisiana houses approved the change unanimously and the governor plans to sign it.

I say no free glass for the sour puss who wrote the tickets!  DB
