First, I hope everyone had a beautiful and merry Christmas. It got a thousand dollars nicer for a Salvation Army kettle. Last week I told you about the annual mysterious donation of a South African Krugerrand in Tulsa OK (value of about $1,700 American). That's been going for about 16 years now. Well, one that has been going on even longer in Morgantown WV is the mysterious donation of a $1,000 dollar bill! It's always wrapped in a dollar and has been showing up in a kettle since 1978. And yes, it's real. They've been out of circulation for decades, but a very special someone finds a way. This year's bill was part of the 1928 series. Amazing.  DB
