Tradition and colorful pageantry will be on full display during a very special annual event this Friday and Saturday. And all are welcome to attend.

Some of the best Native American dancers and drum groups in North America will gather at the University of Montana for the 50th annual Kyiyo Celebration in the Adams Center at the University of Montana. This is one of the oldest student-run powwows in the country and allows the Native American community the opportunity to share its culture through traditional dance and song.

The first Grand Entry event is at 7:00 p.m. this Friday, April 20. Saturday's Grand Entry times are at noon and 7:00 p.m. General admission passes are $5 for each session and weekend passes are $12. Seniors age 65 and older and children age 6 six and younger are admitted free. There are a total of three sessions, one on Friday and two on Saturday.

If you want to see some awesome costumes and dance routines accompanied by powerful drums, this is the place to be! Wow, 50 years. Congratulations, Kyiyo Native American Student Association and here's wishing you a very successful event.
