With the 27-hour weekend upon us, it's time to update the popularity of moving the clocks ahead. And doing so appears to have more detractors every year.

Add lawmakers in Alaska, California, Kansas, Rhode Island and Massachusetts to the list of states considering leaving the clocks alone. In fact, Rhode Island and Massachusetts even want to jump ship to a different time zone! Because of New England's extremely early winter sunsets, they want to be in the Atlantic Time Zone, one hour later than Eastern Time.

Personally, I actually like to "Spring Forward." I just wish we did it in the spring.  I know, I'm calendar knit-picking, but I don't like springing so early in the year. If we went back to the last Sunday in April to the last Sunday in October, I'd have a plenty sunny disposition.
