A Dixon man, Chad Moore, appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Friday, charged with felony theft after allegedly robbing the Shopko store last Sunday, and threatening employees with a knife.

Deputy County Attorney Mac Bloom said Moore, 25, entered the store and began stuffing items inside his clothing.

"Your honor, the state is requesting $5,000 bail," Bloom said. "At this time we believe the defendant presents a danger to the community. It is alleged that he stole several items from Shopko and then threatened employees with a knife. The defendant admitted to being high on drugs at the time."

Bloom brought up Moore's criminal history.

"The defendant pleaded guilty to felony burglary in 2010, and was convicted of possession of controlled substances in 2014," he said.

Moore was apprehended after the Missoula Police Department used Facebook to post photos and a description from the store's surveillance cameras.

Judge Marie Anderson set bail at $5,000, which was posted later that day. He has another court appearance in mid-March.
