Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson appeared in a Texas court this morning for his arraignment in the child abuse case.

He did not enter a plea. His attorney Rusty Harden said Peterson is anxious for the case to go to trial and asked for the earliest possible court date. The trial is tentatively set to begin on December 1st. Peterson is accused of striking his four-year-old son with a switch to discipline him, according

Until the trial is finished, Peterson will be barred from having contact with the son involved in the criminal case, but the judge set no such parameters for Peterson's contact with his other children.

Peterson, who was accompanied by his wife, other family members and legal team, appeared in court during the brief Wednesday hearing.
