Congratulations to Griz defensive back Trumaine Johnson who was drafted early in the 3rd round of the NFL draft! Trumaine was chosen by the St. Louis Rams, who are now coached by Jeff Fisher. You recall his son Brandon played a little ball for the Griz. As the 65th pick overall, Trumaine becomes the earliest choice ever for a Montana defensive player (two offensive linemen, Scott Gragg, '95  and Steve Okoniewski, '72 were chosen in the second round.)  U of Montana sports information director Dave Guffey told me that Johnson is with family in Stockton CA and couldn't be reached for comment, but Guff said they 'd touch bases soon to get his thoughts on his future in the NFL. I hope it's filled with pick-sixes. :-)   DB
