Well, it wasn't the first baby of the new year. You know how hospitals and communities like to celebrate those. But it could be the last pickup truck baby of the old year! Our research team is checking on that right now.

Our congratulations to Keshia Melchiorre of Voorhees, New Jersey. She gave birth to a little girl...in her husband's pickup. Yep, little Portia was not about to wait until anywhere near mom's due date, which was actually early to mid January.

Portia popped out so fast that the husband didn't even have time to pull over. But Keshia's motherly instincts kicked in and she wrapped the baby in a sweatshirt. But, there was enough shock at the high-speed birth, that it took a few minutes for them to stop and think to check if it was a boy or a girl.

Mom and baby seem to be doing fine, so welcome to the world, little Portia. Keep on truckin'!   DB
