Regardless of which sport it is at the collegiate level, many times one of the few certainties is uncertainty.

It was announced Tuesday by the University of Montana Sports Information Department that Brian Doyon has resigned his position as head coach of the University of Montana volleyball program. The Grizzlies went 13-41 in two seasons under Coach Doyon, who was hired in January, 2015.

Montana went 6-26 in Big Sky Conference play the last two seasons, finishing 10th in conference last season and 11th this year.

Allison Lawrence, who has been an assistant coach at Montana since 2010, has been named interim head coach. She was also a finalist when the position became available two years ago.

No further information was contained in the UM release. DB
