Before taking my trip to Cabo San Lucas last week, I was thinking of ways to beat the winter blues in Montana. While I love the beauty of Montana in the Winter, I don't have enough outdoor activities and binge watching Netflix shows gets old after a while. Recently I stumbled across an article from Onlyinyourstate.com and it had the Top 10 ways to beat the winter blues in Montana but I didn't think that all 10 really applied. So, I chopped it down to the top 5 that I think truly are the best ways to beat the winter blues in Montana.
Go For A Winter Hike
Even if you don't enjoy the cold, you will enjoy how beautiful our state is in the Winter. Plus going on a hike is a great way to get exercise and make sure you're staying warm while exploring the outdoors.
Spend Time Inside At Theatres and Concerts
The great thing about Montana is there is always something to do, whether it's a concert or a show. Check out what is going on around town indoors because it will get you out of the house and having some fun.
Visit the Hot Springs
We are lucky to have some amazing Hot Springs in the country. Enjoying a nice adult beverage in the Hot Springs is amazing... until you get out. Then it gets cold quick! :)
One of your favorite activites as a kid will again be one of your favorite activites, just grab a sled and fly down a hill. Just remember climbing back up the hill is a lot more difficult than it was as a kid.
Visit the Slopes...or the LODGE!
Skiing and Snowboarding is huge in Montana, It has never been a huge interest for me. But I do know many lodges have great food and beverages which makes leaving your house well worth it!
