Enjoy the Water

Summer and water could be synonyms here in Montana, and why not? They go hand-in-hand, and that is probably why you will find so many people enjoying the water in the summer months. Dip your feet in the water to cool off, or bring a rod to your local river and try your luck fishing. If you’re trying to stay out of the sun, you can enjoy the water inside at places like your local YMCA or Current Aquatic Center in Missoula.

Join a Community Center

Community centers offer kids a variety of activities to enjoy throughout the summer months. They are also a great place to meet people and start to form relationships. Stop by your local community center and research what activities are available to you. Most centers offer sports like basketball and volleyball, or games like pool, foosball, and air hockey. One local option is Missoula’s City Life Community Center.

Volunteer

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding experiences that your child can participate in. There are always organizations that are looking for help during the summer and this is a great opportunity to help strengthen your child’s values while giving back to the community. Have your child get together with a couple friends and volunteer as a team, they will love the feeling they get when they help someone else in need.
