Player Of The Week For Cherry

The University of Montana’s Will Cherry has been selected as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week after leading the Grizzlies to a pair of conference victories over Portland State and Eastern Washington. Cherry, a 6-foot-1 junior guard from Oakland, Calif., averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and two steals per game, shot 50 percent from the floor, 60 percent from 3-point range, and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line as the Grizzlies ran their winning streak to four games.
