Americans Spend Lots of Money on Their Pets

According to the American Pets Product Association, in 2013, Americans spent a record high of $55.7 billion on their pets, and it's estimated that in 2014 that number will increase to a whopping $60 billion!
Veterinary care for animals can be very pricey, but it seems like specialty foods and treats, which make up about $22 billion of the spending, is where owners literally spare no expense! (Today)
