14th Annual Can the Bobcats Food Drive
Can the Cats is a food drive that pits Missoula and Bozeman against one another in a friendly competition that takes place alongside the Cat-Griz football game. The event kicks off November 9, and all money and donated food will be given to the Missoula Food Bank.
There are more ways to participate than just donating food. Stop by the MSO Hub at 140 N. Higgins on October 4 during First Friday to register for the Can the Bobcats Fun Run. The run will be at McCormick Park on November 10 at 1 p.m. All food donations and money from the registration fee will go to the Missoula Food Bank.
If you’re busy, tune in for Can the Bobcats Radio Day on November 15 on your favorite stations and drop off items on your way to work. (Check back for participating stations and drop off locations).
On November 16, one week before the Cat-Griz game, you can join the food drive by bringing your bags of donations to the Griz home game.
The collection deadline is the first quarter of the Cat-Griz game on November 23. If you can’t make it to Bozeman, attend the Rally in the Valley at Caras Park and watch the game on the big screen. The winner of the food drive will be announced during halftime.
The contest is based on the weight of food donations, so heavier items such as beans, rice, and canned goods go further to helping the Griz Can the Cats!
