I met Alea when she was 9 years old. At that young age she had no fear of trying out in open auditions for the Country Showdown, Country musics largest talent search. She's now 13 and as I've seen her grown into a better performer, I'm happy to help her get some votes! I love supporting the youth.

Alea which means “Sweet Voice” in Hawaiian, Leilani was born on Easter Morning in beautiful Honolulu Hawaii. Alea’s first public performance was as a second grader when she sang the National Anthem to begin a Veterans Day program at a local School. She did it as a surprise for her father, a veteran and former F-15 Air Force pilot, and as a tribute to all those who do and have served.

Alea also loves horses, as pictured below. She told me she tries to ride a couple times a week. She has performed in many local theater productions including Missoula Children’s Theatre.

Alea is blessed to travel to Franklin Tennessee several times a year to visit family, sing at open mic’s and work with the talented voice coach Christy Sutherland. On a recent trip to Nashville she had the honor of writing and recording a song with the late, great A.J. Masters. She may write a song to honor him, that has a very cute story attached ( I won't ruin it for you).

I found a video of her auditioning in the Kalispell Center Mall. She was 10 or 11 here and did a great job! It's not easy. So fun to look back at these.

One of the ladies who taught her guitar, Kayla Adams, has high hopes for this young girl. Let's help this young star on her way. Her family is great, and I know she'll be a good role model to the younger generation.

You can vote here and watch her sound check in Nashville!
